How it works

The employer shall pay 14 weeks’ wages. At the end of period, the employer requests RSSB reimbursement for the last 8 weeks of maternity leave.

Eligibility for reimbursement

An employer can only request a reimbursement for an employee if and only if

The employer must provide all required documents, based on the delivery category for the employee is a mother who has recently given birth.

The employee must have receive payment during her maternity leave period to ensure financial support during this time.

The employer has made contributions on behalf of the employee during her maternity leave period.

The reimbursement request must be submitted within six months after the delivery date. Requests submitted beyond this period will not be considered.
